Accountant Offers Warmth, Literally

Cathy O’Grady, an accountant from Watertown took it upon herself to spread some warmth throughout the city, literally.

O’Grady bought 35 blankets which she then handed out to the homeless. Over the course of one weekend, she passed the blankets out in Boston. In James Michael Curley Park, close to Faneuil Hall, O’Grady even left some blankets in their packages out on various benches.

“I knew it was going to snow and it was going to be bad out, so I had to do something,” said O’Grady.

Some of her friends helped her to spread the warmth. She also paid a visit to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans during her mission of mercy.
